This was a three-day journey for the christening of little Alexis. We traveled to Karpathos, one of the most majestic and remote islands in Greece. During this trip, I experienced one of the best professional moments of my life.
Karpathos is a place of rare beauty and deep traditions. Perhaps it was the location that made it so special. It might also have been the many familiar faces I saw there. We have a long history with this family, which made the atmosphere very emotional.
Probably, it was all these elements combined. Nonetheless, this christening in Karpathos was an experience to be treasured forever. As a filmmaker, I am always looking for authentic stories. This island provided the perfect, rugged backdrop for such a meaningful family event.
The ceremony and the celebrations reflected the soul of the Dodecanese. Every frame of this film captures the love and the unique energy of the island. Capturing a christening in Karpathos requires a deep respect for local culture and light.
I feel truly lucky to have documented this journey. It was a reminder of why I love my craft. Karpathos remains a place that stays in your heart long after you leave.
