A very famous person once said that imagination is more important than knowledge. I have believed this long before I knew it was a famous quote. When I returned for this christening in Switzerland, I decided to put this philosophy into practice.
This film completes a special “trilogy” for Carmelo and Christina’s beautiful family. Our journey began back in 2013 with their wedding. I later returned for their first child’s baptism. Now, with little George’s celebration, we have created something truly unique.
For this christening in Switzerland, I let imagination take full control. At certain points, the world around the characters transforms. It turns into a fairy tale, with painting-like elements that blend with reality. It is a style that is hard to explain in words, but it works perfectly on screen.
As a filmmaker, I wanted to move beyond a typical event video. I wanted to capture the magic of childhood and the joy of this family milestone. The Swiss landscape provided a serene backdrop for this artistic experiment. Every frame reflects the love and the creative spirit of the day.
Documenting a christening in Switzerland once more, felt like coming home. It is a privilege to grow alongside a family and document their most precious chapters. I hope you enjoy “Three Guidelines for Imagination” as much as I enjoyed creating it.
It is a story where dreams and reality become one. This is what happens when you let your imagination lead the way.
